The Daily Grind has been a cherished part of the Marshfield community since 1990, originally opened by Bill Gratzek with the vision of bringing a touch of antique charm and originality back to the neighborhood. For more than three decades, the café has remained a local favorite—a place where people gather for breakfast, great coffee, good conversation, and a sense of connection. In October 2022, the tradition was passed to its new owner, Eric, who proudly carries forward the spirit of the shop while expanding its offerings for today’s guests.

Under Eric’s direction, The Daily Grind has grown into a full-service café serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, desserts, and an ever-expanding menu of hot, cold, and frozen beverages. While the menu has evolved, the heart of the shop remains the same. The Daily Grind is still best known for the originality of its savory, unique, and antique-inspired coffee flavors—signature creations that simply can’t be found anywhere else. Alongside their specialty coffees and premium teas, the café also serves homemade soup, daily specials, and all-day favorites made with comfort in mind.

Our Story

The Daily Grind, located in Marshfield, WI, has been a beloved part of the community since 1990. Originally founded by Bill Gratzek, the café was created with a vision of bringing warmth, character, and antique charm back into the neighborhood.
